Taichung Railway Cultural Park Introduction
Taichung Station has traversed a century of history, connecting the culture and human scenery of Greater Taichung. Established in 1905 as the first-generation station, it was replaced by the second-generation station in 1917 due to increased passenger capacity. In 2016, the elevated railway led to the birth of the third-generation station, making it the only station in Taiwan with three generations coexisting. The second-generation station, with its century-old history, has assumed the status of a national historic site and stands as an important cultural asset. To revive the grandeur of the old station and allow the public to appreciate this precious cultural heritage, a classic international team has taken over to create the "Taichung Railway Cultural Park" as part of a preservation plan!
