Taichung Station has a history of over a century since its full operation in 1908. After being transformed into an elevated railway, the original railway has turned into a green corridor. The green space corridor stretches 21.7 kilometers from Daqing Station to Fengyuan Station, with the green space railway being a segment that extends 1.6 kilometers north and south from Taichung Station. This sky garden, transformed from the old railway, preserves the historical and cultural heritage of the railway while connecting the Railway Cultural Park, historical sites, and station business districts. Walking along the elevated path offers a unique view of the Green River and old railway tracks, with multi-layered landscape designs providing a different perspective of Taichung. Along the trail, there are numerous sculpture corridors that commemorate the memories of the old railway over the past century. The unique local landscape design has also received numerous national and international awards.
