The historical building, Taichung Branch of the Imperial Sugar Factory, was established in 1935. It was originally the sales space of the Taichung Factory of the Imperial Sugar Company of Japan. In Taichung, the Imperial Sugar Factory witnesses the rise and fall of the industry and was registered as a historical building in 2016. It reopened in 2019, managed by the Good Place team, continuously planning and promoting industrial cultural performances, specialty theme restaurants, and ProLab artisan workshops, inheriting local spirit while injecting new elements and vitality into the factory.
