Qishan Confucius Temple Introduction

Chishang Confucius Temple is located within Chishang Gushan Park, covering an area of 4.1 hectares, making it the largest Confucius Temple in Taiwan. The halls and pavilions are imposing and grand. The temple's main gate features five large archways, presenting a solemn yet spacious entrance. The architecture follows the style of the Song Dynasty, characterized by yellow glazed tiles, vermillion beams and columns, and white jade railings, exuding magnificence. Each year, spring ceremonies are held here to honor Confucius and pray for blessings, helping students achieve academic success. As the temple is situated at the highest point of Gushan Park, the lush greenery and bamboo groves create a beautiful view, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenic beauty of the park and the picturesque Chishang Plain. It is also a popular spot for the public to enjoy the outdoors and admire the night scenery.
