Nanhai Purple Bamboo Temple Introduction
Nanhai Purple Bamboo Temple features a Chinese architectural style that attracts visitors to stop and admire. Geographically, it is situated in a "floating water lotus" terrain, with the temple facing the Lobster Fighting Port, providing an excellent environment. Next to it, the Songjiang Weapons Museum is one of the highlights for visitors, displaying a variety of Songjiang weapon artifacts and showcasing the face-painting works of the 108 heroes from "Water Margin." Nanhai Purple Bamboo Temple is associated with the development of the dragon formation in the martial arts, which derives from the "Hundred Entertainments" of the Northern and Southern Dynasties. Its dragon formation is a "Five-Clawed Golden Dragon," measuring 180 feet in length and divided into 13 sections, with the dragon's mouth equipped with dry ice and water spraying devices.
