Nanhai Zhuzhu Temple Introduction

Nanhai Purple Bamboo Temple, with its Chinese architectural appearance, attracts visitors to stop and admire. Geographically, it is located in an area known as "Floating Water Lotus," with the Lobster Fighting Port in front of the temple, providing an excellent environment. Next to it, the Songjiang Weapon Museum is one of the main highlights of the visit, displaying various Songjiang weapon artifacts and showcasing the facial paintings of the 108 heroes from "Water Margin." Nanhai Purple Bamboo Temple belongs to the development of the Dragon Formation, which is a dragon dance, evolved from the "Hundred Entertainments" of the Northern and Southern Dynasties. Its Dragon Formation features a "five-clawed golden dragon" measuring 180 feet in length, divided into 13 segments, with the dragon's mouth equipped with dry ice and water spray devices.
