Sun Valley Introduction
Sun Moon Valley, also known as "Chang'e Mountain" or "Chang'e Valley," is located on the way from Yan Chao District in Kaohsiung to Xin Yang Nu Lake and Wushan Mud Volcano. Due to the loose mudstone geology in this area, it has been eroded by the alternating torrential summer rains and bright sun in southern Taiwan, forming a jagged, barren canyon with no vegetation. The desolate circular valley reflects in the lake, creating a unique natural landscape.
