Sohar Bridge Introduction
The Soaji Bridge is located in the Taoyuan District of Kaohsiung City and is the longest vehicular suspension bridge in the country. It serves as an important transportation hub for the area and embodies the cultural characteristics of the local Meilan tribe, the Saruwa people. The bridge's columns are painted with designs resembling bear eagle feathers, the bridge abutments are shaped like wild boars, and a statue of tribespeople straining to hold the suspension cables stands at the bridge's entrance, showcasing a majestic and grand cultural image, making this bridge a landmark that combines functionality and art.
