Baolai Miaotong Temple Introduction
Miaotong Temple is one of the three major Buddhist temples in Liuqui District, with a flourishing flow of worshippers. It is close to the Baolai Hot Spring area and can be reached via Provincial Highway 27, connecting to Provincial Highway 20, after crossing the Laonong River. Surrounded by mountains, the Laonong River winds through the valley; the temple's landscape is solemnly planned, featuring lotus ponds, pavilions, and lush greenery, all in orderly arrangement, resembling a scene from "Pure Land." The orange roof and white temple structure can be seen from afar amidst the lush green mountains. Due to its higher elevation, it serves as the best viewpoint for overlooking the Laonong River. The temple was founded by Master Guangqin, who led his disciples to develop this originally barren land. Today, the temple's exterior is majestic, the halls are solemn, and the flora, after careful nurturing, flourishes, making the entire temple seem like a paradise. Every holiday or during the seventh lunar month, countless worshippers ascend the mountain to pay their respects.
