Jingping Bridge Introduction

After continuing for about 600 meters from the Yuhilin Waterfall, you will arrive at the Jinping Scenic Bridge. The simple sculptures on the bridge depict the daily life, customs, and mythology of the Atayal people, serving as an introductory site to the beauty of Atayal culture. The bridge stands 250 meters high, with a total length of 120 meters and a width of 12 meters. It features a magnificent arched steel frame design, with 144 sculptures on the railings that relate to the cultural aspects of indigenous people's food, clothing, shelter, and transportation. Visitors heading to Jianshi Township in Hsinchu County will certainly not miss the Jinping Bridge. The bridge's height of 250 meters, length of 120 meters, and width of 12 meters make it a grand arched steel frame structure, deeply reflecting the historical traditions of the Atayal people. Further ahead, at the entrance of the Jinping Village community, there is a towering statue of an Atayal warrior built on a sheer cliff, holding a spear while hunting, highlighting indigenous style and appearing quite magnificent. In addition to its essential transportation function, the bridge also serves an important tourism role, which is why its design and construction are different from typical bridges. The center of the bridge serves as the roadway, while on both sides, there are protruding sections that form a pedestrian walkway, allowing visiting tourists to enjoy the beauty of the river valley and take memorable photos.
