Tainan: Hei Ge Piang Sausage Museum Introduction
The Hekijiga food brand originated in Wuqiaozi, Wutiao Port District, Tainan City. The sincerity and warmth of Tainan residents have established the brand's cultural values of "a kind heart's persistence" and "the local human touch of Taiwan." Following guidance from the Industrial Technology Research Institute in 2009, we built our foundation from 2010 to 2012, and in September 2012, we established the Hekijiga Sausage Museum, aiming to help consumers better understand our brand's cultural values. To achieve differentiated positioning, we focus on two cultural themes: the local culture of Tainan City and the culinary cultures of meat from both East and West, hoping to enhance the quality of tourism for the public. The Sausage Museum serves as an industry museum that combines culture and leisure. Inside, we have set up many interactive facilities and exhibitions, allowing visitors to experience educational entertainment through engaging experiences. The permanent exhibitions "The Glorious Revival of Wutiao Port" and "The Prosperous Shakariba" trace the origins of our brand's history. We have designed a DIY experience activity called "Sausage Pig Doll Keychain," which uses dolls and rich knowledge to let visitors understand the sausage culinary culture. The culinary legend of Hekijiga began in Wuqiaozi, nurtured by Mr. Chen Wen-hui, known as the "Father of Taiwanese Sausage." His unique, sweet, and juicy Taiwanese sausages have captivated countless food lovers. After 56 years, Hekijiga has become synonymous with Taiwanese sausage, consistently insisting on making sausages with a kind heart. They are not only delicious dishes on the dining table but also a shared culinary memory of the residents of Tainan. Currently, the company's operations are extensive, with products available in stores and retailers nationwide. Supermarkets have fully stocked our sausages, capturing over 50% market share, making us the market leader. Convenience stores like FamilyMart also sell our cooked sausages, and in recent years, Hekijiga products have become available in Hong Kong and Japan.
