Tainan Hakka Cultural Museum Introduction

The innovative pavilion, completed in 2010, greets visitors with a warm-toned wooden sign and patterned lanterns at the entrance, immersing them in the rich Hakka style. Inside the pavilion, the decorations of paper umbrellas and red lanterns further showcase the Hakka ambiance. Various daily necessities and agricultural tools related to Hakka culture are exhibited, providing detailed introductions to Hakka history, crafts, cuisine, architecture, and more. Among them, the section on Hakka beliefs mentions the reverence for heaven and ancestors, which is a fundamental belief for the Hakka people, stemming from ancient traditional Chinese culture. Here, visitors can profoundly experience the hospitable and frugal traditions of the Hakka community, allowing travelers from all over to better understand Hakka culture.
