Green Island Lighthouse Introduction
The Green Island Lighthouse, built in 1939, is located on the northwest coast highland of Green Island Township in Taitung. The lighthouse features a circular reinforced concrete structure. It stands on a promontory at the northern end of the airport runway, offering a panoramic view of the entire island from the top. The white tower reflects beautifully against the azure sea and blue sky, making it the best backdrop for visitors' photos. At night, the illuminated lighthouse shines across the sky, complementing the starry night, making it a great spot for photographers to capture the Milky Way and starlit sky.
