Liqi Badlands and Xiaohuangshan Introduction
The Lijia Badlands is located along the Beinan River in the northern suburbs of Taitung City, also known as the Lijia Moon World. It is referred to as the "National Geological Treasure of Taitung" due to the Lijia Formation. Formed by tectonic compression, mountain-building activities, weathering, and rain erosion, the Lijia Badlands features steep cliffs with very few plants growing, covered in numerous rain erosion channels, creating a scene that resembles that found on the Moon. It has become a popular spot for tourists to take dramatic and desolate photography.
