Taitung Station Introduction
The announcements at the station are broadcast in Indigenous languages, and the station is adorned with Indigenous wood carvings, giving Taitung Station a distinct style unlike any other station. From the moment visitors arriving from all over the world disembark, they begin to immerse themselves in the leisurely and carefree Indigenous culture of Eastern Taiwan. Located on Yanwan Road, the train station, officially renamed "Taitung Station" in 2001, serves as the main starting and ending point for the Taiwan Railways Administration's connections of the Taitung Line, Eastern Trunk Line, and Southern Link Line. It has a larger area to accommodate the gradually increasing volume of passengers. A tourist service center is also set up inside the station, where visitors can obtain the most complete and accurate travel information right after they arrive. Outside the station, there are "Taiwan Tourist Shuttle" buses that guide visitors to various famous attractions, allowing them to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and rich culture of Taitung.
