Taitung Station Introduction
Taitung Railway Station is the main transportation hub for the Taitung area, with all levels of trains from the Eastern Line and South Link Line stopping here. The station features a tourist service center that provides travelers with comprehensive travel information. Outside the station, there are buses, highway passenger transport services, a "Taiwan Tourist Shuttle" bus for sightseeing, and a YouBike rental point. Surrounding the station are hotels, guesthouses, and several motorcycle and bicycle rental shops to meet various traveler needs. The station is approximately a 10-minute drive from the center of Taitung City, and it takes about 20 minutes by bus to reach Taitung Airport or Fugang Fish Harbor. The atmosphere inside and outside Taitung Railway Station is rich in indigenous culture, with many indigenous wood carvings displayed inside the station, and announcements in indigenous languages can be heard on the station's PA system, giving travelers a unique feel upon arrival. To provide better services, the station has also added retail space selling various local specialties and souvenirs for convenient purchasing by travelers.
