Taitung Station Introduction
Taitung Railway Station is the main transportation hub for the Taitung area, where all levels of trains from the East Line and South Link Line stop. The station has a visitor service center that provides travelers with comprehensive travel information. Outside the station, there are buses, highway passenger transport services, "Taiwan Tourist Shuttle" buses for scenic spots, and a YouBike rental station. Surrounding the area are hotels, guesthouses, and several motorcycle and car rental shops to meet the diverse needs of travelers. The station is about a 10-minute drive from the center of Taitung City, and it takes approximately 20 minutes by bus to reach Taitung Airport or Fugang Fish Harbor. The interior and exterior of Taitung Railway Station are filled with the ambiance of indigenous culture, featuring many wooden carvings created by indigenous artists, and announcements in indigenous languages can be heard at the station, offering visitors a unique experience upon arrival. To provide better services, the station has also added retail space selling various local specialties and souvenirs for the convenience of travelers.
