Taitung Station Introduction
Taitung Railway Station is the main transportation hub for the Taitung area, where various trains from the Eastern Line and the South Linking Line stop. The station features a visitor service center that provides comprehensive travel information for passengers. Outside the station, there are buses, highway passenger transport services, "Taiwan Tourist Shuttle" bus services to tourist attractions, and YouBike rental stations. Surrounding the station are hotels, guesthouses, and several motorcycle and bicycle rental companies to meet various traveler needs. The station is approximately a 10-minute drive from Taitung City Center, and it takes about 20 minutes by bus to reach Taitung Airport or Fugang Fishing Harbor. The area inside and outside Taitung Railway Station is filled with indigenous cultural atmosphere, featuring many indigenous wooden sculptures, and announcements are made in indigenous languages, giving travelers a unique experience upon arrival. To provide better services, the station has also added shop spaces selling a variety of local specialties and souvenirs for travelers' convenience.
