Taitung Station Introduction
The station's announcements are broadcast in indigenous languages, and everywhere within Taitung Station are displayed indigenous wooden carvings, giving it a unique style compared to other stations. Visitors from around the world begin to immerse themselves in the leisurely and carefree indigenous culture of Eastern Taiwan the moment they step off the train. On Yanwan Road, the train station, officially renamed "Taitung Station" in 2001, is the main starting and ending point for the Taiwan Railway Administration's Taitung Line, Eastern Main Line, and Southern Loop Line. It has a larger area to accommodate the gradually increasing passenger volume. The station also features a visitor service center, where tourists can get the most complete and accurate travel information immediately after arriving. Outside the station, there are tourist buses coordinated with "Taiwan Tourist Shuttle" that lead travelers to various famous attractions, allowing them to enjoy the beautiful scenery and rich culture of the Taitung paradise.
