Quas in the Bunun language means Zeikudaing, which translates to "big bend." The Chinese name is "土虱灣" (Tu Shih Wan). The flow of the Zhuoshui River swirls here, traversing canyons to create a large bay surrounded by peaks that form a 180-degree arc, hence the name. The natural landscape is quite unique.
