Deer Chef Cave Trail Introduction

The Guangxing Village in Toufen City was historically plagued by wild deer from the mountains that damaged agricultural crops, leading residents to construct numerous cabinet-style deer traps. This area of mountains was once known as "Deer Kitchen Pit." The "Deer Kitchen Pit Trail" in Guangxing Village consists of two main routes: the inner loop of 4 kilometers and the outer loop of 2 kilometers, generally following the ridge line, with an elevation that gradually rises from 38 meters to 159 meters. The trail is lined with dense forests and features a butterfly ecological zone, a firefly restoration area, and a rhinoceros beetle ecological park. The highest point, "Niuhutoushan," offers excellent views, allowing distant gazes at the picturesque Guangxing and Lankeng Valley. During the Tung Blossom Festival, the trail's tung flower forest is adorned with snowy white blossoms, intertwined with vibrant green acacia trees, creating a colorful and beautiful scene that many consider a secret spot for appreciating tung blossoms.
