Deer Kitchen Trail Introduction
The Guangxing Village in Toufen City has a history of wild deer damaging agricultural crops in the mountainous area, which led local residents to set up numerous cupboard-style deer traps. This forest area was historically known as "Deer Kitchen Pit". The "Deer Kitchen Pit Trail" in Guangxing Village generally consists of two main routes: the inner loop of 4 kilometers and the outer loop of 2 kilometers, following the ridge line, with an elevation ranging from 38 meters to 159 meters. The trail is surrounded by dense forests and features a butterfly ecological zone, a firefly restoration area, and a stag beetle ecological park. The highest point, "Niu Hu Tuo Mountain," offers an excellent view, allowing visitors to gaze upon the picturesque Guangxing and Lankeng Valley. During the Tung Flower Festival, the trail's Tung flower forest is adorned with snowy white blossoms, intertwined with the lush green acacia trees, creating a colorful and beautiful scene that has become a secret spot for many flower appreciation enthusiasts.
