Deer Kitchen Trail Introduction

Guangxing Village in Toufen City has a history of wild deer damaging farm crops in the mountainous area, which led the locals to set up numerous cabinet-style deer traps. This mountainous region was historically known as "Deer Kitchen Pit." The "Deer Kitchen Pit Trail" located in Guangxing Village is generally divided into two main routes: the inner loop trail of 4 kilometers and the outer loop trail of 2 kilometers, both following the ridge line. The elevation ranges from 38 meters to 159 meters. The trail is surrounded by dense forests, with areas for butterfly ecology, firefly rehabilitation, and rhinoceros beetle ecology. At the highest point, "Niuhutou Mountain," there is an excellent view, offering a distant gaze at the beautiful scenery of Guangxing and Lankeng Valley. During the Tung Blossom Festival, the trail is adorned with snow-white Tung flowers, intertwined with the lush Acacia woodlands, creating a vibrant and picturesque scene that many consider a secret spot for Tung flower appreciation.
