Duchukeng Trail Introduction
Guangxing Village in Toufen City has historically experienced damage to agricultural crops from wild deer in the mountainous areas, prompting locals to set up numerous cabinet-style deer traps. This area of forest was previously known as "Deer Kitchen Hollow." The "Deer Kitchen Trail" located in Guangxing Village is generally divided into two main routes: the inner loop measuring 4 kilometers and the outer loop measuring 2 kilometers, both of which follow the ridge line, ascending from an elevation of 38 meters to 159 meters. The trail is surrounded by dense forests and features a butterfly ecological area, a firefly restoration area, and a unicorn beetle ecological park. The highest point, "Niuhutu Mountain," offers excellent views, allowing visitors to gaze upon the picturesque Guangxing and Lankeng Valley. During the Tung Blossom Festival, the trail's forest of tung trees is adorned with snowy white blossoms, intermingled with lush acacia trees, creating a vibrant and beautiful scene that many consider a secret spot for viewing tung blossoms.
