Luchu Keng Trail Introduction

The Guangxing District of Toufen City has a history of wild deer damaging agricultural crops in the mountainous areas, prompting residents to set up numerous cabinet-style deer traps. This forested area was historically known as "Deer Kitchen Pit." The "Deer Kitchen Pit Trail" located in Guangxing is generally divided into two main routes: the inner loop at 4 kilometers and the outer loop at 2 kilometers, both following the ridge line, with elevations ranging from 38 meters to 159 meters. The trail is lined with dense forests and features ecological zones for butterflies, fireflies, and stag beetles. The highest point, "Niu Hu Tu Mountain," offers excellent views of the beautiful landscapes of Guangxing and Lankeng Valley. During the Tung Blossom Festival, the trail is adorned with white tung flowers, interspersed with lush acacia trees, creating a vibrant and beautiful scene, making it a secret haven for many flower-viewing enthusiasts.
