Deer Kitchen Trail Introduction
Guanxing Village in Toufen City was historically known for frequent wild deer damaging farm crops, leading residents to set up numerous cabinet-style deer traps. This mountainous area was once called "Deer Kitchen Pit". The "Deer Kitchen Pit Trail" located in Guanxing Village is generally divided into two main routes: the inner loop of 4 kilometers and the outer loop of 2 kilometers, both roughly along the ridge line, with elevations gradually rising from 38 meters to 159 meters. The trail features dense forests and includes a butterfly ecological area, a firefly restoration area, and a beetle ecological park. The highest point, "Niuhutoushan," offers excellent views, allowing a distant glimpse of the scenic Guanxing and Lankeng valleys. During the Tung Blossom Festival, the trail's tung flower forest is adorned with pure white blossoms, intertwined with the lush green acacia trees, creating a vibrant and beautiful landscape, making it a secret paradise for many who wish to enjoy the tung blossoms.
