C-119 Military Aircraft Park The C-119 transport aircraft, also known as the "Flying Boxcar," was manufactured by the Fairchild Aviation Corporation in the United States with a range of up to 13 hours. On October 28, 1958, the United States loaned 16 aircraft to the Air Force, and on July 8, 1959, it was officially received, replacing the C-46.
The C-119 transport aircraft was retired on December 19, 1997. During its 39 years of service, it accumulated a total flight time of over 750,000 hours.
