Guyu Folk Museum Introduction
The Guyue Folk Museum was built on the site of the Tianhou Temple, which was destroyed during air raids in World War II. The construction began in the first month of the Chinese lunar calendar in the year of the Monkey (January 2004) and took two years to complete, finishing in the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar in the year of the Dog (May 2006). With a small-scale investment and clever planning of limited space to accommodate an infinite collection, it aims to preserve Taiwan's traditional culture.
