The Changhua Confucius Temple is an important symbol of cultural and educational development in central Taiwan. Founded in the fourth year of the Yongzheng era of the Qing Dynasty by the county magistrate Zhang Hao, it served as the former site of the Changhua County Academy.

Confucius Temple Introduction

Zhanghua Confucius Temple (National Historical Site) is the largest Confucius temple built during the Qing Dynasty in Taiwan. It served as a grand academic hall in ancient times and still retains the architectural characteristics of traditional Confucius temples.
