The Changhua Confucius Temple is an important symbol of cultural and educational development in central Taiwan. It was established in the fourth year of the Yongzheng era of the Qing Dynasty, founded by County Magistrate Zhang Hao, and served as the former educational institution of Changhua County.

Changhua Confucian Temple, a national historic site, is the largest Confucian temple built during the Qing Dynasty in Taiwan. It served as an ancient academic hall and still retains the architectural flavor of traditional Confucian temples.
