The Changhua Confucius Temple is an important symbol of cultural and educational development in central Taiwan. Established in the fourth year of the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty, it was founded by County Magistrate Zhang Hao and served as the former site of the Changhua County Academy.

Confucius Temple Introduction

Zhanghua Confucius Temple (National Historical Site) is the largest Confucius temple built during the Qing Dynasty in Taiwan. It was an ancient academic hall and still retains the architectural essence of traditional Confucius temples.
