Dingguang Buddha Temple Introduction
Main Deity: Dingguang Buddha History: The Dingguang Buddha Temple, originally named "Dingguang An," was built in the 26th year of the Qing Dynasty under the reign of Emperor Qianlong. After the major earthquake in Changhua in 1848, it was rebuilt by devotees, such as Zhang Lianxi, and renamed "Dingguang Buddha Temple." The Dingguang Buddha Temple is not a particularly eye-catching temple; it lacks a grand entrance and the solemn tranquility of an ancient mountain temple. Situated in a corner of the bustling area on the main road in front of Changhua Train Station (No. 140 Guangfu Road), it creates its own unique environment. Passersby often stop to fold their hands in prayer in front of the temple, making it one of the earliest and most popular temples in Changhua City.
