Changhua County Museum of Art Introduction
Changhua County Museum of Art is currently the most innovative and representative county-level art museum in central Taiwan. With its high ceilings and modern green building design, it is located at the intersection of Dongmin Street and Guashan Road in Changhua City. The museum closely integrates with nearby cultural heritage sites such as the Changhua Confucius Temple, Wude Temple, and Jiehuo Temple, as well as other cultural attractions like the Changhua County Library, Changhua Art Museum, Changhua City Library, Changhua Aesthetics Museum, and the Baguashan Buddha Scenic Area. Together, they form the most beautiful cultural living circle in Changhua, providing the public with a space to engage with the arts and promoting local artistic and cultural activities, thereby enhancing the community's participation in arts and culture.
The public art piece "Beauty of Heaven and Earth" in the courtyard of the Changhua County Art Museum is the largest wall-mounted public art installation in Taiwan. The work employs multiple materials to represent the richness of Changhua's culture and nature, showcasing the vitality of the land. The fresh green glass symbolizes a clean natural environment, while the ceramic panels depict the layers of the earth, symbolizing deep cultural roots. The stainless steel spheres reflect the blue sky and white clouds, as well as our surrounding environment and inner selves, inviting dialogue. The delicate layering expresses the richness of the natural and cultural elements, responding beautifully with the architectural space of the museum, making it a highlight of the museum's artistic offerings.
