Yiyuan Old House Introduction
Matsus largest old residence - Ma Hsing Chen Residence (Yiyuan Old House) is a national historical site. Ma Hsing Chen Yiyuan Mansion is the largest traditional residence in Changhua and is also a famous large mansion in Taiwan. It was established in the 26th year of the Daoguang era (1846 AD) by the Chen family, who became wealthy through trade and thus purchased land to build this mansion and estate. The clan produced scholars and several additional notable figures during the 9th year of the Xianfeng era (1859 AD), leading to the family's prominent reputation.
