Li Binggui (1949-), the son of Songlin Shizhi, is the only descendant of the Li family among the five sons who has inherited the craft. He has received the Global Chinese Arts Heritage Award.

Li Song-Lin, known as "Songlin Master" (1907-1999), was an artist who hailed from Yongchun, Fujian. He was born into a traditional woodcarving family. During the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, his great-grandfather Li Ke-Jiao crossed the sea to Taiwan to participate in the renovation of Longshan Temple in Lukang, where he eventually settled.
