Li Songlin (1907-1999), known as "Songlin Master," was an artist born into a traditional wood carving family. His ancestral hometown is Yongchun, Fujian. During the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, his great-grandfather, Li Kejiao, crossed the sea to Taiwan to participate in the renovation of Longshan Temple in Lugang, where he subsequently settled.
