In 2001, the Pingtung County Kumquat Production Cooperative was established, which identified issues with the market price stability and surplus of lemons and kumquats due to varying production seasons. As a result, Dingxin Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was founded in 2003, focusing on the production process of lemon and kumquat juice. This approach involved bulk purchasing and processing to ensure that during periods of low production, fresh juice could meet market demand, thus creating significant business opportunities and distribution channels for local agricultural products from the origin.
