Pomelo Lake Introduction
The burst crater of a volcano has formed a bay through erosion by ocean waves, locally referred to as "lake," which is a mispronunciation of the Minnan language word "ao." Therefore, the lake in Yuzu Lake is not what we usually perceive as a lake. On the eastern coast of the marine terrace, there are two small bays, Yuzu Lake and Nanzi Lake, separated by just a cape, each forming its own settlement. Both settlements have been relocated, leaving only the remnants of houses built with coral rock walls and roofs covered with cement tiles.
