Pug Rock Introduction
Green Island is an island formed by volcanic activity, with part of its eastern coast believed by scholars to be the site of an ancient eruption crater. In addition to volcanic neck remnants, the varying degrees of resistance to weathering of the crater walls have also created a series of geological landscapes in the surrounding area. From the Xiaochangcheng at Haisanping, one can gaze out at a geological formation resembling a lying pug, known as "Pug Rock," which, along with the nearby Sleeping Beauty Rock, is collectively referred to as "Sleeping Beauty and Pug."
