New Bai Yang Service Area Introduction
New Baiyang is part of the Hehuan Mountain range, with an elevation of 1,650 meters. It has a service station located within Taroko National Park, serving as an important information point for the eastern trailhead of the Hehuan Ridge Ancient Trail's winding section. Inside the service station, illuminated displays with scenic images introduce the various trails, flora and fauna, and sea of clouds in the park, under an open exhibition system. There is also an observation platform that overlooks the upper reaches of the Liwu River and the Tazihuli Valley. From the observation deck at New Baiyang, one can enjoy spectacular views of Qilai North Peak, Panshi Mountain, and Laying Mountain. Due to the unique terrain, fog is common, and the thick mist instead adds to the enchanting beauty of the mountain forest.
