Qimei - White Horse Park Introduction
Baimahu Park in Qimei Township is located along the road to Dingxi Scenic Area. When riding a bike from the northern part of Little Taiwan at Shuangxin Stone Weir, you can see a park on the right side, with the most striking feature being a large red ball (Red Dragon Pearl) near the roadside. Baimahu Park is also known as Bai Ma Po. The nearby geographical environment is barren, with no vegetation in sight, and traces of erosion from water flow can be vaguely seen on the ground, while the coastline is composed of pebble beaches. Some areas of Baimahu Park have remained barren for many years, hence the nickname "Little Moon World." Here, there is a Feng Shui wall that extends into a pathway resembling a bridge, and at the end, there is a large red dragon pearl, a statue of a white horse wrapped in red cloth, and a gourd. This white horse statue serves as a Stone Guardian, protecting the vital water source of Qimei Township, and there is an altar set nearby, which has designated times for worship. The large red dragon pearl is used to block the drainage outlet and symbolizes the Feng Shui significance of controlling water and safeguarding wealth. In the park, occasional sightings of the Half-day Bird (Penghu County Bird) can be observed in the grassy areas; crossing the road, one can see the badlands on the other side, where holes and traces of erosion from water flow are visible, with a distant view of the Jinlong Pagoda on a high point. Commonly seen in Baimahu Park are flocks of sheep playing and strolling around, while nearby there is a pavilion where visitors can sit and listen to the natural music of the waves crashing against the shore. 【Recommended Stay Time】 1 hour
