Qimei - Bai Ma Park Introduction
Baimahu Park, also known as Baimapo, is located along the road to the Dingxi Scenic Area. Riding a bike from the Shuangxin Stone Weir in the north of Little Taiwan, you can see a park on the right side, where the most eye-catching feature is a large red ball (Red Dragon Pearl) near the roadside. The area surrounding Baimahu Park is barren, with no vegetation, and subtle traces of water erosion can be seen on the ground; the coastline consists of gravel beaches. Some parts of Baimahu Park are bare all year round, earning it the nickname "Little Moon World." Here, there is a feng shui wall that extends into a pathway resembling a bridge, leading to a large red dragon pearl, a statue of a white horse wrapped in red cloth, and a gourd at its end. This white horse statue serves as a stone guardian, protecting the vital water veins of Qimei Township, with a pedestal for sacrificial offerings. The large red dragon pearl is used to block drainage, symbolizing the feng shui significance of stabling water and locking wealth. Occasionally, you can spot the Half-day Bird (the bird of Penghu County) in the grassy area of the park. Across the road, there is a rugged terrain with holes and signs of water erosion, where you can also see the distant Jinlong Pagoda. In Baimahu Park, it is common to see flocks of sheep playing and wandering around, and there is a pavilion nearby where you can sit and listen to the natural symphony of waves crashing against the shore. 【Recommended time to stay】 1 hour.
