Qimei - Baima Park Introduction
Baimahu Park, also known as Baimapo, is located along the road in the Dingxi Scenic Area. When riding a bike from the Shuangxin Stone Weir in the northern part of Little Taiwan, you will see a park to the right, with the most eye-catching feature being a large red ball (red dragon ball) near the roadside. The geographic environment around Baimahu Park is barren, with little vegetation; the ground shows traces of erosion caused by flowing water, and the coastline consists of gravel beaches. Some areas of Baimahu Park have not seen any growth for years, which is why it is also referred to as "Little Moon World." Here, there is a Feng Shui wall that extends into a bridge-like walkway. At the end of this walkway stands a large red dragon ball, a statue of a white horse wrapped in red cloth, and a gourd. The white horse statue serves as a stone guardian that protects the important water veins of Qimei Township, and there is an altar beside it for its ceremonial purposes. The large red dragon ball is used to block the drainage outlet, symbolizing the Feng Shui meaning of controlling water and securing wealth. In the small grass area of the park, one may occasionally spot a Half-day Bird (the bird of Penghu County). Across the road, you can see the rugged terrain with visible holes and water erosion marks, as well as a distant sight of the Jinlong Pagoda on a high point. In Baimahu Park, flocks of sheep can often be seen playing and strolling, while a pavilion nearby provides a spot to sit and listen to the natural music of the waves crashing against the shore. 【Recommended stay time】 1 hour.
