Qimei - Baima Park Introduction
Baimahu Park is located along the route to the Dingxi Scenic Area. Riding a bike from the Shuangxin Stone Weir in northern Little Taiwan, you can see a park on the right side, with the most eye-catching feature being a large red ball (Red Dragon Pearl) near the roadside. Baimahu Park is also known as Baima Slope. The surrounding geography is barren, with no vegetation, and traces of water erosion can faintly be seen on the ground. The coastline consists of gravel beaches. Parts of Baimahu Park have been barren for years, hence it is nicknamed "Little Moon World." Here, there is a Feng Shui wall that extends into a pathway resembling a bridge; at the end, you can see a large red dragon pearl, a statue of a white horse wrapped in red cloth, and a gourd. This white horse statue serves as a guardian spirit, protecting the important water vein of Qimei Township, with an altar nearby for worship. The large red dragon pearl is used to block the drainage outlet, symbolizing the significance of water control and wealth preservation in Feng Shui. In the park, you might occasionally spot the Taiwan blue magpie (Penghu County bird); crossing the road leads to a rugged area where you can see pits and traces of water erosion, with a distant view of the Jinlong Pagoda on higher ground. In Baimahu Park, flocks of sheep can often be seen playing and strolling, and there’s a gazebo nearby where visitors can sit and enjoy the natural music of the waves crashing against the shore. 【Recommended stay duration】 1 hour
