Qimei - Lower Alley Introduction
Xiawei Alley is located between Liwan Recreation Area and Dashi Scenic Area, where there is a small bay surrounded by basalt cliffs. The coastal area has been shaped by sea erosion, forming two gaps resembling an alley; the upper gap is referred to as "Ding Alley," while the southern gap, which is larger, is called "Xia Alley," and it serves as the main route for local residents to access the beach. Following the stone steps leads you all the way to the shoreline, where there is a small bay that belongs to the wave-cut platform. Around the area, you can closely admire the sloping columnar joint cliffs and the deep blue sea. At both sides of Xia Alley, cliffs have created shallow platforms, which have become popular spots for anglers. There is a viewing pavilion set up for resting, providing a view of the entire coastline from Longcheng, Shishi, to Xia Alley. 【Recommended stay time】 1 hour
