Twelve Gates Ancient Cannon Introduction
The mysterious heavyweight ancient cannon relics - These twelve cannons were relocated to the site in 1975. One of the cannon barrels has clear inscriptions, which read: "In the autumn of the twelfth year of Jiaqing, under the orders of the headquarters in Fujian and Zhejiang, the governor of Fujian, cast by the Taihe Association for the Zuo-ying Navy cannon, each weighing one thousand catties." The origin of these ancient cannons is still undocumented; they may be related to Admiral Wang De-lu from Chiayi, or they might have originally been placed at the eastern, southern, western, and northern city gates. Construction date: Cast in the twelfth year of Jiaqing (1807 AD).
