Twelve Gates Ancient Cannon Introduction

Mysterious Heavyweight Ancient Cannon Ruins - The twelve ancient cannons were relocated to this site in 1975. One of the cannon tubes has clear inscriptions, stating: "In the autumn of the 12th year of Jiaqing, authorized by the Fujian-Zhejiang Headquarters, the Governor of Fujian, cast for the Taiwan Provincial Navy's Zuoying cannon, each weighing one thousand jin." The origin of these ancient cannons is not documented and may be related to Wang Delu, a naval officer from Chiayi, or they might have originally been installed at the East, South, and West North city gates. Construction Year: Cast in the 12th year of Jiaqing (1807).
