Shimen Wedding Dress Plaza Introduction
Located in Shimen District, New Taipei City, the Shimen Wedding Plaza is the first wedding plaza in Taiwan, officially opened on March 9, 2008. It is situated by the sea right in front of the Xin Shiba Wang Gong Temple on Provincial Highway 2 (County Road 24K). The plaza was developed to continue the momentum of the "North Coast Wedding Photography" event that started in 2005, transforming a former area of metal-roof vendors into the first wedding plaza at a cost of over NT$8 million, providing a space for tourists to take photos. This new hub, named "Happy Shimen," combining fashion, scenery, and recreation, is a romantic spot specifically designed for newlyweds. The plaza faces the sea and features a Greek-style bell tower wall, Greek columns, floral archways, and blue and white color schemes, creating a strong Greek ambiance. People in Taiwan can take romantic photos with an exotic touch without needing to travel abroad. The Mediterranean-style architecture, characterized by a predominantly white color scheme, along with the pristine bell tower corridor, complements the natural beauty of the North Coast with its seamless blue sea and sky, making visitors feel as if they are on the coast of Greece, fully immersing them in a romantic atmosphere.
