Shimen Wedding Dress Plaza Introduction
Located in the Shimen District of New Taipei City, the Shimen Wedding Square is the first wedding square in Taiwan, officially opened on March 9, 2008. It is situated at the seaside right in front of the Xin Shibawan Temple on Provincial Highway 2, 24K in Shimen District. The site was developed to continue the momentum from the "North Coast Wedding Photography" event initiated in 2005, transforming a former area of metal-roofed vendor stalls into this first wedding square at a cost of over NT$8 million, providing a space for visitors to take photographs. This emerging venue, Happiness Shimen, combines fashion, landscape, and leisure, designed specifically as a romantic spot for newlyweds. The square faces the sea and features a bell tower wall, Greek columns, floral archways, and blue and white tones that create a rich Greek ambiance. Couples can capture romantic photos with an exotic flair without leaving Taiwan. The Mediterranean-style architecture, predominantly in white, along with the pristine bell tower corridor, complements the natural scenery of the North Coast where the sea and sky meet, evoking a feeling as if one is on the shores of Greece, fully immersing in a romantic atmosphere.
