Shimen Wedding Dress Plaza Introduction
Located in Shimen District, New Taipei City, the Shimen Wedding Plaza is the first wedding plaza in Taiwan, officially opened on March 9, 2008. It is situated in front of the Xin Shibi King Temple at the 24K mark of Provincial Highway 2 in Shimen District, continuing the popularity of the 2005 event "North Coast Wedding Photography" and establishing it as a regular tourism feature in the North Coast area. Over 8 million TWD was invested to transform what was originally a tin-covered vendor area into the first wedding plaza, providing a space for tourists to take photos. This emerging spot, Happy Shimen, combines fashion, landscape, and recreation, creating a romantic venue specially designed for newlyweds. The plaza faces the sea, featuring a Greek-style bell tower wall, Greek columns, floral archways, and a blue-and-white color scheme, presenting a strong Greek ambiance, allowing locals to capture romantic exotic photos without leaving Taiwan. With a Mediterranean-style architecture dominated by white hues, along with a pristine bell tower corridor, coupled with the natural scenery of the blue sea and sky of the North Coast, it feels as if one is immersed in the shores of Greece, completely revealing a romantic atmosphere.
