Qingshan Waterfall Introduction
Qingshan Waterfall is located in the upper stream of Laomei Creek near the picturesque Jienshan Lake in Shimen District. Formerly known as "Jienshan Lake Waterfall," it stands about ten meters high and boasts a plentiful water flow and majestic scenery. It is within the confines of Yangmingshan National Park, where a 1.3-kilometer long, gentle, and shaded trail has been opened, providing access to Qingshan Waterfall, making it an ideal destination for families looking to enjoy a day outdoors on weekends. The waterfall, cascading approximately three stories high due to a valley fault, is categorized as a sloping waterfall. With the magnificent Zhuzishan (Bamboo Mountain) towering behind it, the water's powerful flow and the large pool area create a spectacular sight. The water is crystal clear, sweet, and refreshing, connecting two adjacent deep pools, resulting in a breathtaking landscape. Gazing at the waterfall plunging from the cliff and splashing countless droplets, one can feel the gentle breeze in the woods and listen to the soothing sounds of the flowing water, evoking a sense of serenity and tranquility.
