Chief Cultural Park Introduction
Chieftain Cultural and Creative Park is located in Wulai District, New Taipei City. With over 30 years of experience in promoting Atayal culture, it features the Chieftain Cultural Performance Theater, where you can enjoy the unique mountain delicacies while appreciating traditional Atayal dances. Men wear feathered crowns that symbolize warrior spirit, while women wear floral crowns to enhance beauty and vitality, their faces painted with ink to symbolize traditional facial tattoos. The performances include lively welcoming dances, bamboo pole dances, and traditional ceremonial wedding dances. When the atmosphere is high, guests may join in singing, creating a very festive scene. The Chieftain Cultural and Creative Park offers spacious areas for travelers to experience traditional Atayal weaving and DIY bracelet making. The Atayal craftsmanship on display is diverse and innovative, and the park also functions as a visitor center, with staff providing local tourism information and support.
