Chief's Cultural and Creative Park Introduction
The Chief Cultural Park is located in the Wulai District of New Taipei City and has been promoting Atayal culture for over 30 years. In the Chief Cultural Theater, you can enjoy unique mountain delicacies while watching traditional Atayal dances. The male performers wear feathered headdresses that exude a warrior spirit, while the female performers sport floral crowns to enhance their beauty and vitality. Their faces are painted with ink to symbolize the traditional facial tattoos. The performances include lively welcoming dances, stick dances, and dances from traditional celebratory weddings, and when the atmosphere is high, guests often join in singing along, creating a very vibrant scene. The Chief Cultural Park offers ample space for travelers to experience traditional Atayal weaving, DIY bracelet making, and more, while the Atayal crafts on display are diverse and innovative. The park also functions as a tourist center, providing local travel information and assistance by the staff of the Chief Cultural Park.
