Chief's Cultural Park Introduction
Chieftain Cultural and Creative Park is located in the Wulai District of New Taipei City. It has been promoting Atayal culture for over 30 years. In the Chieftain Cultural Theater, you can enjoy unique mountain delicacies while watching traditional Atayal dances. The male performers wear feather crowns that exude a warrior spirit, while the females wear floral crowns to enhance their beauty and vitality, with their faces painted with ink to symbolize the traditional facial tattooing. The performances include lively welcome dances, stick dances, and dances from traditional wedding celebrations, creating a vibrant atmosphere where guests often join in singing along, making for a lively scene. The Chieftain Cultural and Creative Park offers spacious areas for travelers to experience traditional Atayal weaving, DIY bracelet crafting, and other activities. The Atayal crafts showcased are increasingly diverse and innovative. The park also functions as a visitor center, providing local tourism information and other inquiries, all handled by the staff of the Chieftain Cultural and Creative Park.
