Chieftain Cultural and Creative Park Introduction
The Chief Cultural and Creative Park is located in Wulai District, New Taipei City. It has been promoting Atayal culture for over 30 years. In the Chief Cultural and Creative Park's cultural performance theater, you can enjoy unique mountain delicacies while watching traditional Atayal dances. The male performers wear feathered headdresses that exude a warrior spirit, while the female performers don floral crowns to highlight beauty and vitality, with their faces painted in ink to symbolize traditional tattoos. The performances include lively welcome dances, bamboo pole dances, and dances from traditional wedding ceremonies, among others. When the atmosphere is high, guests often join in singing along, creating a lively scene. The Chief Cultural and Creative Park offers spacious areas for travelers to experience traditional Atayal weaving, DIY bracelet making, and more. The Atayal crafts displayed are increasingly diverse and innovative. The park also serves as a visitor center, providing local tourism information and assistance by the staff at the Chief Cultural and Creative Park.
