Wulai Gondola Introduction
Wulai Gondola is located in the Wulai District of New Taipei City. It is a round-trip gondola lift that leads into the Yunshan Paradise, which has been in operation since August 1967. While one car ascends, another descends, making it the signature attraction of Yunshan Paradise. The gondola has only two station terminals, connecting the Wulai Waterfall area to Yunshan Paradise. It is the first passenger-carrying sightseeing gondola in Taiwan and one of the notable tourist attractions in Wulai, specifically built by Yunshan Paradise. Riding the gondola allows visitors to soar over the Nanshi River Valley, offering different perspectives of the Wulai Waterfall and a view of the Yunlong Waterfall. The platform of the gondola also provides a panoramic view of the Nanshi River gorge. Situated downstream of the Wulai River, Yunshan Paradise not only boasts the largest and highest waterfall in northern Taiwan, Wulai Waterfall, but the stunning cascading waters often attract visitors to pause and quietly admire at the opposite bank's Warrior Square. The Wulai Gondola, which crosses the Nanshi River next to the hot spring street, not only showcases Wulai's charming landmark but also serves as an excellent vantage point for overlooking the waterfall.
