Wulai Sky Gondola Introduction
The Wulai Sky Aerial Tram is located in the Wulai District of New Taipei City. It is a gondola lift that operates as a round-trip tram into the Yun Hsien Resort, which started service in August 1967 and continues to this day. As one cabin ascends, another descends, making it a signature attraction of Yun Hsien Resort. The aerial tramway has only two terminal stations, connecting the Wulai Waterfall area to Yun Hsien Resort. It is the first passenger-carrying sightseeing aerial tram in Taiwan and one of the notable tourist features in Wulai, built specifically for Yun Hsien Resort. Riding the aerial tram offers views of the Wulai Waterfall from different angles as it crosses the Nanshi River Valley, and visitors can also enjoy a panoramic view of the Yunlong Waterfall and the canyon scenery of the Nanshi River from the tram platform. Located downstream of the Wulai River, the Yun Hsien Resort features the largest and highest waterfall in Northern Taiwan, which often attracts tourists who linger at the opposite Warrior Square to appreciate its tranquility. The Wulai Aerial Tram, spanning the Nanshi River next to the hot spring street, showcases the charming landmark of Wulai and provides an excellent vantage point to overlook the waterfall.
