Coal Transport Bridge Introduction
The transportation of coal from various mine entrances to the coal preparation plant is done by diesel locomotives. The coal transport bridge was built for transporting coal; originally constructed as a three-layer iron bridge, it was later rebuilt into a steel and concrete arch bridge in August 1965 due to mining demands and was officially named "Ruisan Bridge." Currently, it retains complete ruins for visitors to recall the prosperity of past mining activities. The bridge was renovated in July 2010 to provide a safer passage for visitors, and old tracks have been restored to closely resemble the original gauge, showcasing the historical mining scene with trolleys. Additionally, there are lights projected onto the bridge at night, making this landmark one of the choices for photographers in Houtong at night.
