Coal Transportation Bridge Introduction
The transportation of coal from each mine mouth to the coal preparation plant is carried out by diesel locomotives. The coal transport bridge was originally built as a three-layer iron bridge, but due to mining demands, it was rebuilt in August 1965 as a steel and concrete arch bridge and officially named "Ruisan Bridge." Currently, it retains complete remains for visitors to recall the prosperous mining scene of the past. After July 2010, the coal transport bridge has been renovated to allow visitors to traverse it in a safer manner. The old railway track has been restored to reflect the original gauge, and trolleys have been placed to fully showcase the historical mining atmosphere. At night, lights are projected onto the bridge, making this landmark a popular choice for photographers in Houtong during the evening.
