Hsu Hsin-Wang Ceramic Memorial Museum Introduction
This is the first certified tourist factory in Yingge, established in 1926, witnessing the rise and fall of ceramic craftsmanship in the area. To commemorate Mr. Hsu Hsin-wang's exemplary life, the Hsu Hsin-wang Ceramics Memorial Museum was specially established in Yingge in 2010, becoming the first tourist factory in the Yingge region approved by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The museum features four major experience zones: hand-formed pottery, hand-built ceramics, overglaze painting, and mosaic collage. Additionally, there is the Hsin-wang wood-fired kiln and sections for factory processes (clay preparation area, pouring and forming area, and product display area). The factory preserves a wealth of historical artifacts, and visitors can learn about the development of ceramic craftsmanship while viewing antique gas kilns, jar-making machines, foot-powered potter's wheels, and other early pottery equipment, all of which can be experienced hands-on. After transformation, the factory sells a variety of lively and creative ceramic products, showcasing the endless possibilities of ceramic art creation. There are also professional pottery-making experience courses available on-site, with on-site registration. The instructors are enthusiastic and friendly, allowing everyone to easily learn pottery-making, leading the public to gain a deeper understanding of the pottery industry and providing exciting experiential activities, ensuring that visitors leave with joyful memories.
