Wulai was historically the living settlement of the Atayal people, who are the true inhabitants of Wulai. The establishment of the Atayal Culture Museum in New Taipei City's only mountainous area, Wulai, is particularly meaningful. The carefully curated exhibitions showcase the Atayal people's lifestyle, including their food, clothing, housing, and cultural philosophy, providing a comprehensive view of their history and living conditions. On the first floor, artifacts related to the origin, migration, and hunting of the Atayal people, as well as the natural ecology of the Wulai area, are displayed. The second floor features an introduction to traditional tattooing, which holds great significance in Atayal culture; only those skilled in hunting and weaving are eligible to have tattoos and to marry. The third floor exhibits the daily utensils and traditional crafts of the Atayal people. During weekends, visitors can enjoy performances of songs and dances by local Atayal people, and participate in DIY courses, such as making glass bead necklaces, Atayal weaving, and bracelet making.

Transportation Methods:1. Bus: Take the Xindian Bus from Qingdao East Road, Taipei City → Roosevelt Road → Xindian → Quchi → Wulai Terminal. 2. MRT: Take the MRT to Xindian Terminal, then transfer to the Xindian Bus No. 849 to Wulai Terminal.


Remarks:1. Smoking, chewing betel nuts, and consuming chewing gum are strictly prohibited. 2. Please do not wear or remove shoes and clogs inside the venue. 3.
