Mudan Station Introduction
Mudan Station is located in Mudan Village, Shuangxi District, New Taipei City, and is a railway station on the Yilan Line of the Taiwan Railways Administration. It was originally known as "Wudan Pit Station" and was moved to its current location in 1924. To reduce the slope of train travel, a large 120-degree curve was designed within Mudan Station. The sight of trains facing each other at the front and rear is a must-see for photography enthusiasts and a required stop for railway fans! This has attracted many tourists who linger here to wait for trains to arrive, as they can capture images of trains slowly passing by on the big curve and occasionally get shots of cars and trains moving side by side. This unique railway design was even selected by a well-known Japanese automobile brand as a filming location for an advertisement, making it a must-visit station for railway enthusiasts!
