New Taipei City Huwei Disaster Prevention Education Center Introduction
1. This is the first disaster prevention themed museum in the city, located by the banks of the Tamsui River, with the historical site "Dr. McKay's Landing" in front of the venue. The exterior of the building is designed in the shape of a fire truck, and there is a fire safety mascot mailbox at the entrance that offers postcard sending services! Inside the museum, there are two main themed games: the "Immersive Projection Interactive Game" and the "VR Virtual Reality Interactive Game," which teach correct disaster prevention concepts in an entertaining way. Additionally, there are 3D painted photo walls and cute rhinoceros dolls for visitors to take photos with! 2. Immersive Projection Interactive Experience: Utilizing projectors to cast images onto the walls and employing projection sensing technology, participants can touch the projected options on the wall to interact with the game. This game integrates knowledge of fire prevention, typhoon readiness, earthquake safety, and carbon monoxide awareness, with a "Disaster Prevention Smart Brain" theme game containing four thematic levels, incorporating various scenarios of daily disaster prevention to instill disaster awareness during the experience. 3. VR Virtual Reality Interactive Experience: By using VR headsets and controllers, participants can feel as if they are in real disaster situations, guided by the game to learn proper response concepts. The fire scene can change rapidly, often resulting in drastically different outcomes based on decisions made in an instant. How should one escape from a fire? What should one do to rescue a precious life during drowning while ensuring their own safety? "Fire Escape" and "Drowning Rescue," two major challenges await you!
