New Taipei City's Huwei Disaster Prevention Education Center Introduction
1. This is the first disaster prevention theme museum in the city, located by the Tamsui River. In front of the museum is the historical site "Dr. Mackay's Landing." The exterior of the building is designed in the shape of a fire truck, and there is a mailbox featuring a firefighting mascot at the entrance, providing postcard mailing services! Inside the museum, there are two major themed games: "Immersive Projection Interactive Game" and "VR Virtual Reality Interactive Game," which promote correct disaster prevention concepts in an entertaining way. Additionally, there are 3D painted photo walls and cute rhinoceros figurines available for group photos! 2. Immersive Projection Interactive Experience: Using projectors, images are projected onto the walls, and through projection sensors, participants can touch the projected options on the wall to interact with the game. This game integrates disaster prevention knowledge related to fire, typhoons, earthquakes, and carbon monoxide, featuring a "Disaster Prevention Brain" themed game with four themed levels, incorporating various real-life disaster scenarios, and instilling disaster prevention concepts throughout the experience. 3. VR Virtual Reality Interactive Experience: Using VR headsets and controllers, participants find themselves in disaster scenarios and learn correct coping strategies through guided gameplay. The conditions in a fire scene can change rapidly, potentially leading to drastically different outcomes; how should one choose to escape a fire? In case of drowning, how can one save a precious life while ensuring their own safety? "Fire Escape" and "Drowning Rescue," two major challenges await you!
