New Taipei City Huwei Disaster Prevention Education Center Introduction
1. This is the city's first disaster prevention theme museum, located by the Tamsui River, with the historical site "Dr. Mackay's Landing" situated in front. The exterior of the venue is designed in the shape of a fire truck, and there is a fire mascot mailbox at the entrance that provides postcard mailing services! Inside, there are two major themed games: "Immersive Projection Interactive Game" and "VR Virtual Reality Interactive Game," which promote the correct concepts of disaster prevention in an entertaining way. Additionally, there is a 3D painted photo wall and cute rhinoceros figurines for visitors to take memorable photos! 2. Immersive Projection Interactive Experience: Utilizing a projector to cast images onto the wall, participants can interact by touching the projected options on the wall, playing the game. This game integrates knowledge of fire prevention, typhoon preparedness, earthquake readiness, and carbon monoxide safety, featuring a "Disaster Prevention Genius" themed game with four themed levels, incorporating various everyday disaster scenarios to instill disaster prevention concepts throughout the experience. 3. VR Virtual Reality Interactive Experience: Using VR headsets and controllers, participants can immerse themselves in disaster scenarios and learn the correct response concepts through game-guided operations. The situation in a fire can change rapidly, leading to completely different outcomes based on split-second decisions. How should one choose to escape from a fire? How can one save precious lives during a drowning incident while ensuring their own safety? "Fire Escape" and "Drowning Rescue" are two major challenges waiting for you!
