Breaking the stereotype of libraries as dull and monotonous, the Lin Kou Branch of the New Taipei City Library has created a simple yet cozy reading space designed with a color palette of black, white, and gray, complemented by Nordic-style furniture. The library has transformed into a wonderful area reminiscent of home comfort. The spaciousness between the bookshelves and the bookshelves themselves, designed to be under 130 cm high, allow for easier access and movement, enhancing the overall sense of space. One of the most impressive features is the giant book wall inside, measuring 36 meters long, claimed to be the longest book wall in Taiwan. It features a curved design and a tall, elegant stair-step bookshelf that not only showcases the extensive collection but also presents a stunning aesthetic in book arrangement. Currently, the library has designated areas including a children's room, slow reading area, reading area, senior citizen area, journal and newspaper section, laptop area, and leisure reading area, with a total of about 160,000 volumes, and the collection will continue to be updated.
