New Taipei City Library Linkou Branch Introduction
Breaking the standard dull impression of libraries, the Linkou Branch of New Taipei City Library has created a minimalistic and warm reading space. Designed with a base color scheme of black, white, and gray, along with Scandinavian-style tables and chairs, the library has become a beautiful venue that exudes a cozy home-like atmosphere. The spacious bookcases are designed with shelves under 130 centimeters, making it more convenient to access books and enhancing the overall feeling of space. Most impressive is the giant book wall inside the library, measuring 36 meters long, claiming to be the longest book wall in Taiwan. Its curved design, along with the elegantly elevated staircase book wall, not only makes the rich collection of books visible at a glance but also presents the ultimate beauty of book arrangement. Currently, the library offers facilities such as a children's room, slow reading area, reading area, senior area, periodical section, laptop zone, and leisure reading area, totaling approximately 160,000 books, with resources continuously updated. The library features multiple bright and comfortable reading spaces, each equipped with USB charging ports at the tables. This thoughtful design can be seen everywhere in the library, making it suitable for anyone who wants to quietly enjoy the pleasure of reading alone or share quality reading time with family.
