New Taipei City Library Linkou Branch Introduction
Breaking the monotonous impression often associated with libraries, the Lin Kou Branch of the New Taipei City Library has crafted a simple yet warm reading space. Designed with a base color scheme of black, white, and gray, along with Nordic-style tables and chairs, the library has transformed into a comfortable and homely venue. The book shelves are spaciously designed, with shelving heights specifically set below 130 centimeters, facilitating easier access to books while enhancing the overall sense of space. One of the most impressive features is the giant book wall inside, measuring 36 meters in length, which is claimed to be the longest book wall in Taiwan. It features a curved design coupled with an elegant double-height staircase book wall, making the rich collection of books visually accessible and showcasing the aesthetic beauty of book arrangement. Currently, the library includes a children's room, a slow reading area, a reading area, a senior citizen area, a magazine section, a laptop zone, and a leisure reading area, with a total of around 160,000 books, and the collection will continue to be updated. The library is equipped with numerous bright and comfortable reading spaces, and all tables are fitted with USB charging ports. This thoughtful design is present throughout the library, making it perfect for those wishing to enjoy reading in solitude or families looking to spend quality time reading together!
