New Taipei City Library Linkou Branch Introduction
Breaking the conventional dull impression that libraries often give, the Lin Kou Branch of New Taipei City Library has created a minimalist and cozy reading space. Designed with a color palette of black, white, and gray, and complemented by Nordic-style tables and chairs, the library has transformed into a wonderful area that exudes a homely comfort. The spacious bookcase spacing and the specially designed book shelves at a height of 130 cm or below not only facilitate easier access to books but also make the overall space feel more expansive. The most impressive feature is the giant book wall inside the library, which stretches 36 meters long, claiming to be the longest book wall in Taiwan. It features a curved design, along with an elegant tall ladder book wall across floors, making the rich collection of books visible and showcasing the exquisite beauty of how the books are arranged. Currently, the library has designated areas including a children's room, slow reading area, reading area, senior-friendly area, magazine and newspaper section, laptop zone, and leisure reading area, with a total of about 160,000 books in its collection, which will continue to be updated. The library has multiple bright and comfortable reading spaces, with USB charging ports available on all tables, providing a thoughtful design visible throughout. Whether you want to quietly enjoy the joy of reading alone or have some family reading time together, this library is perfect for both!
