Breaking the conventional dull impression of libraries, the Lin Kou Branch of the New Taipei City Library has created a minimalist and cozy reading space. Designed with a base color palette of black, white, and gray, along with Nordic-style tables and chairs, the library has become a beautiful venue with a home-like comfort. The spacing between bookshelves is spacious, and the shelves are specifically designed to be under 130 cm in height, making it easier to walk around and retrieve books, while also enhancing the overall sense of space. The most impressive feature is the giant book wall inside the library, which is 36 meters long and claims to be the longest book wall in Taiwan. It features a curved design, complemented by an elegant double-height staircase book wall that not only showcases the rich collection at a glance but also presents the ultimate beauty of book placement. The library currently plans to have a children's room, a slow reading area, a reading area, a senior area, a periodicals zone, a laptop area, and a leisure reading area, totaling about 160,000 books, with resources continually updated.
