New Taipei City Library Linkou Branch Introduction
Breaking the stereotypical and dull image of libraries, the Linkou Branch of the New Taipei City Library has created a simple and cozy reading space. Designed with a color palette of black, white, and gray, coupled with Nordic-style furniture, the library has become a pleasant area that exudes a homey comfort. The spacious aisle between bookshelves and the shelves themselves are specially designed to be below 130 cm in height, making it easier to navigate and access books, while enhancing the overall spaciousness of the area. One of the most impressive features is the giant book wall inside the library, which measures 36 meters in length, claiming to be the longest book wall in Taiwan. Its curved design, along with the elegant high-rise staircase book wall, not only provides a clear view of the rich collection but also showcases the ultimate beauty of book placement. The library currently includes a children's room, slow reading area, reading area, senior area, periodical area, laptop area, and leisure reading area, with a total of approximately 160,000 books, and the collection will continue to be updated. The library is equipped with multiple bright and comfortable reading spaces, each table featuring USB charging ports. This thoughtful design can be found throughout the library, making it perfect for anyone looking to quietly enjoy reading or for parents and children to share reading time together!
