New Taipei City Library Linkou Branch Introduction
Breaking the monotonous impression often associated with libraries, the Lin Kou Branch of the New Taipei City Library has created a minimalist and cozy reading space. Designed primarily in black, white, and gray tones, it features Nordic-style tables and chairs, making the library a beautiful area that feels like home. The bookshelves are spaced generously, and the shelves are specifically designed to be below 130 centimeters in height, facilitating easier access to books and making the overall area feel more spacious. The most impressive feature is the massive book wall inside the library, measuring 36 meters in length, which is claimed to be the longest book wall in Taiwan. Its curved design, combined with the elegantly elevated inter-floor staircase book wall, not only makes the rich collection of books easily visible but also showcases the ultimate beauty of book arrangement. The library currently offers a children's room, a slow reading area, a reading area, a senior space, a periodicals area, a laptop area, and a leisure reading area, with a total of approximately 160,000 books in its collection, which will be continuously updated. Bright and comfortable reading spaces are set up throughout the library, and each table is equipped with USB charging ports. This thoughtful design can be found everywhere in the library, making it an ideal place whether you want to quietly enjoy a reading session alone or have a parent-child reading time together!
