Nan Zigou Ecological Park Introduction
Nanzi Brook was originally a distributary of the Dahan River, with a length of 3.3 kilometers, serving as the boundary between Banqiao and the Fuzhou area. In the 1980s, due to the construction of the Fuzhou levee, the water source from the Dahan River was blocked, and the main water source of Nanzi Brook was changed to the Daan Canal branch. During a time when sewage mainlines were not yet widespread, a large amount of domestic wastewater flowed into the Daan Canal branch, causing Nanzi Brook to become severely polluted and unpleasant. In recent years, with the improvements made by the Water Resources Department of New Taipei City, after more than a decade of optimization, Nanzi Brook has regained vitality and transformed into a new paradise for plants and animals.
