Zhangjia Ancestral Hall Introduction
Zhang family ancestral temple was built during the Japanese rule (Year 37 of the Meiji era). After World War II, it underwent several renovations. The existing Taichung Zhang family ancestral temple faces east and features a traditional courtyard building with two halls and four guardian dragons. In front of the ancestral temple, there is a wide forecourt and a crescent-shaped pond at the entrance. The architectural layout resembles that of traditional residences in Central Taiwan, with distinctive variations on either side of the central axis. The above information is sourced from the Cultural Assets Department of Taichung City.
