Zhangjia Ancestral Hall Introduction
Zhang Family Ancestral Hall was built during the Japanese colonial period (Meiji 37), and after World War II, it underwent several major renovations. The existing Zhang Family Ancestral Hall in Taichung is oriented west to east, featuring a traditional courtyard building with two main halls and two corridors, supported by four vermilion dragons. In front of the ancestral hall, there is a wide forecourt and a semi-circular pond at the entrance, reflecting a layout similar to traditional residential buildings in central Taiwan. The construction showcases distinct characteristics, as the architectural style on the left and right sides of the central axis differs.
