If you take the train along the mountain line and pass by Tai'an Station, pay attention to the window, and you will notice a "shell-shaped" building standing beside the railway. This is the "Taichung Line Earthquake Recovery Memorial." This memorial was established to commemorate the strong earthquake that occurred on April 21, 1935, at dawn in the middle of the Daan River, during the Japanese colonial period. This earthquake brought unprecedented disaster to the Taichung Coastal Railway operated by the government at that time.

If you take the train along the mountain line and pass by Tai'an Station, keep an eye out the window and you will notice a "bomb-shaped" building standing by the railroad. It is the Taichung Line Earthquake Memorial. This memorial was established to commemorate the strong earthquake that occurred in the early morning of April 21, 1935 (Showa 10 during Japanese rule) in the central Daan River. This earthquake brought unprecedented disaster to the then state-owned railway, the Taichung Coastal Line.

Transportation Methods：(1) Take the train to Fengyuan Railway Station, transfer to Fengyuan Bus (Fengyuan - Tai'an - Dajia) (which has limited service), and get off at Tai'an Station. (2) Take the train to Tai'an Railway Station, then walk about 20 minutes to the Old Tai'an Railway Station.
