The Old Tai'an Station located in Houli, after the Old Mountain Line of the Western Cross-Island Railway ceased operation on September 24, 1998, was designated as a historic site by the Taichung City Government and transformed into a railway culture park. After its closing, it attracted more visitors and became a new tourist attraction. The columns of the two canopies on the platform are made from rails produced in the early 20th century. After the suspension of service, the Old Tai'an Station ended its nearly 90 years of operation that began in 1908.

Tai'an Railway Cultural Park Introduction

The Huli Taian Railway Culture Park has taken out public liability insurance. Although the railway has now ceased operation, the Taian Station located at the foot of the mountain and the Hualiang Steel Bridge that crosses the Dajia River have become great spots for photography and wedding shoots. Local elders say, "Before the suspension, there were not many people, just local residents. After the suspension, the railway culture park was established here, along with a themed shopping district, resulting in increased foot traffic." In addition to the nostalgic atmosphere of the old railway, during autumn and winter, the maple leaves turn yellow and fall onto the tracks, creating a uniquely beautiful scene. (The Taichung City Government Tourism and Travel Bureau has taken out public liability insurance.)
