Taichung City Cultural and Creative Industries Park Introduction

The Taichung Museum of Fine Arts (美術家資料館) is located on the north side of the second floor of the Art Center in the Gang District. The space covers approximately 340 square meters and was established in planning since 1999, officially opening in 2001. The museum aims to become a cultural base that documents the art development history of Greater Taichung by collecting and recording works, videos, and literature from Taiwan's past and contemporary artists. For over 20 years, the museum has continuously collected and displayed relevant materials related to artists from Greater Taichung, helping the public understand the context of the region’s art development, as well as the relationships, careers, and achievements of the artists. Starting in 2020, the museum's main space has transformed into a children's art education space, with new areas including: - Art Golden House: This area primarily houses art-related books and, beginning in 2020, combines with the "Mobile Artist Archives" project (now renamed the "Art PaPaGO!" project) for art experience courses, aiming to cultivate the aesthetic appreciation ability of visiting children. - Art Experience Classroom: This area is equipped with a "Group Painting Creation Area," "Game Installation Area," "Aesthetic Teaching Wall," and "Art Puzzle Performance Area," providing space for school students or families visiting the museum. - Picture Book Story House: This area collects various children's picture books (about 200 books) through donations and purchases of second-hand books, available for reading by visiting families or for use in art experience courses. Since 2022, a "Resident Artist Exhibition Area" has been added, featuring selected works and art experience courses from invited artists, aiming to attract more local schools and families to participate in classes at the museum. Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-17:30 (closed on Mondays, traditional festivals, and during the Lunar New Year). Address: No. 21, Zhongzheng Rd, Qingshui District, Taichung City.
