Luliao Clothing Commercial Area Introduction
Established in 2012, the entrance image of the Luk Liao Garment Shopping District has brought a fresh atmosphere to the area. Located in the Sha Lu District of Taichung City, around Jin Hua Street, Lai Yi Street, and Jin Yi Street, the history of the Luk Liao Garment Shopping District can be traced back to the early days of "peddling fabric" when many merchants selling raw cloth didn't have storefronts and would walk around with their wares on their shoulders, calling out to customers. Gradually, some began stitching leftover fabric into children's shorts commonly known as "Jie Zi Ku." As business opportunities arose, garment factories flourished along Guang Rong Street, Fu An Street, Guang Zheng Street, Fu Ren Street, and Cheng Gong East Street, eventually forming the Luk Liao Garment Shopping District to the north of the factories. Known for its popularity in the Taichung area, the Luk Liao Garment Shopping District features over 200 shops and has a history of about 50 years since its establishment. It is a favorite spot for many grandmothers to select clothing and is very suitable for family visits. With its vast shopping venues and friendly clothing store owners who are as warm as family, visitors can easily try on and purchase clothes, with many adorable children's outfits that are hard to resist. After shopping, families can enjoy delicious food nearby.
