Miao Dong Night Market Introduction

The "Ciji Temple" festival activities attract a large number of visitors, and as the crowds grew, more and more vendors gathered, gradually forming a night market. At that time, most vendors operated around the "Ciji Temple" and in the surrounding plaza. Later, during the expansion of the "Ciji Temple," the vendors were organized, and the government further expanded the scale of the snack street, inviting more food operators to join in, which led to the formation of today's "Fengyuan Temple East Night Market." The Fengyuan Temple East Night Market is quite famous online, with many long-established shops located here. The three must-try dishes are rib noodles, pineapple ice, and oyster omelette. The "Qingshui Rib Noodle Shop," which has been in business for over 30 years, is known for its signature dish and does the best business in the night market. The name "Qingshui" is quite interesting; it is said to be because the shop's founder was lacking in water in his destiny, and a sign outside reads "Takeaway, please wait on the left" and "On-site dining, please wait on the right," making a strong impression. "Jinshu Pineapple Ice," which has a history of over 70 years, uses traditional methods to make pineapple ice, simmering pineapple and sugar for a long time without adding any artificial sweeteners, which evokes nostalgia. "Zhengzhao Oyster Omelette" is another must-try snack shop, featuring plump oysters paired with water spinach, bean sprouts, and chopped scallions, all topped with a rich sauce laced with peanut powder. From local specialty snacks to treats from all over the province, the snack street is enriched in flavor, further boosting the commercial area of Fengyuan District.
