Wufeng Shuren Business District Introduction
During the 1990s, this area was known as the Wufeng Night Market, and it later transformed into a commercial district. Located on Shuren Road next to the Wufeng Farmers' Association in Wufeng District, Taichung City, the original Shuren Night Market was a street-closed market that extended from the intersection of Sude Road to the intersection of Yucheng Road, making it one of the main night markets in southern Taichung at that time. In 2001, the Business Department of Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs commissioned a consulting team to revitalize the Shuren Road commercial district, transforming the original Shuren Night Market into the Shuren Road Commercial District. Before the merger of Taichung City at the end of 2010, it was one of the three major food districts in Taichung City, and it remains one of the well-known food districts in southern Taichung today.
