Daya Rice Fields Introduction
Every March, when the wheat ripens, the wheat fields in Dajia, Taichung shine with vast expanses of gold. As the gentle breeze blows, the wheat heads bow and then straighten up, creating waves that sway like water, making it a charming and well-known landscape of Taichung City. Dajia produces 90% of Taiwan's wheat yield, and the annual cultural festival is themed around wheat. In addition to the wind-blown wheat waves, various sizes of artistic installations are also designed on-site. Since the cultural festival coincides with Valentine's Day, many of the art exhibits are love-related, making Dajia Wheat Fields an unexpectedly popular date spot for couples. If you are lucky, you can also capture photos of the three stages of wheat ripening: one area is still lush green, while just a few hundred meters away, golden and yellow wheat fields appear, allowing you to experience the wonders of nature in Dajia.
