Dayeh Wheat Field Introduction
Every March, when the wheat matures, the wheat fields in Daya District, Taichung, shine with vast expanses of gold. As the gentle breeze blows, the wheat stalks bow their heads and then straighten up again, creating waves that sway like a sea, forming an enchanting landmark of Taichung City. Daya produces 90% of Taiwan's wheat, and the annual cultural festival is centered around the theme of wheat. In addition to the wind-blown wheat waves, various artistic installations of different sizes are also featured. Coincidentally, the cultural festival coincides with Valentine's Day, so many of the art pieces are related to love, making the Daya wheat fields an unexpectedly popular dating spot for couples. If you're lucky, you might capture photos of the three stages of wheat maturation: one area lush and green, while just a few hundred meters away, fields of golden wheat have already emerged, allowing visitors to experience the wonders of nature in Daya.
