The Shang Feng Branch Library is the first library in Taichung City themed around "environmental education." It has also won the "Architectural Garden Award" and the Excellence Award in the Best Planning and Design Category at the National Excellent Construction Award in 2019. Located next to Shang Feng Elementary School, the library features a red brick exterior that reflects the nearby golden wheat fields and the red maple leaves. It includes ecological grass ditches, native plantings, and an open spatial design that seamlessly connects the interior and exterior, integrating beautifully with the school and community, creating a lovely place where humans and nature coexist closely. The library's outdoor area boasts a diverse landscape and ecological environment, with the planting of fodder and nectar plants attracting butterflies and bees, making it an excellent venue for promoting environmental education.
